In 1954, specifically April 8-Úbeda reaches a sculpture of Jesus of Nazareth represents a key moment of his passion: the trance of ECCCE HOMO. This sacred image acquired by the Royal Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Humility comes to replace another of the famous sculptor Juan Cristobal, which do not raise the fervor that people expected in Úbeda, used it to another style.
The sculptor of the new Christ of Humility is Amadeo Ruiz Olmos. Is a carver and Úbeda known because of his workshop out the new image of Mary under the title of Our Lady of Soledad and Our Lady of Sorrows to the Confraternity of Jesus of Nazareth, image that years later was replaced by Francisco Palma Burgos another.
The Christ is made of cypress wood. The size is about 180 cm. and represents a position Ecce Homo upright, hands bound in front holding a cane and crowned with thorns.
